- Financial difficulties
- Personal regrets
Who Sees What
- Hidden for everyone - All project collaborators
- Hidden section visible - To all members

- Not included - In question counts or filters
- Permanently available - Can always be restored
Queue Management
If hidden question was in queue:
- Automatically removed from queue
- Queue notes are preserved
- Returns to queue position if unhidden
- Doesn't affect other queued items
Best Practices
Communicate with Team
Let collaborators know why certain questions are hidden if they ask.
Respect Boundaries
Don't unhide questions another collaborator hid without discussing first.
Common Scenarios
Hide questions about death, loss, and that specific person until you've had time to grieve. Focus on celebratory memories when ready.
Hide adult topics like romance, career stress, or complex family dynamics. Keep questions age-appropriate for your audience.
Hide questions about specific relatives or time periods that might cause conflict. Focus on unifying, positive shared experiences unless you specifically want to delve into these topics.
One person can pre-screen and hide sensitive questions before inviting elderly relatives or those dealing with trauma.
Tips for Sensitive Topics
If a question triggers strong emotions: 1. Hide it immediately 2. Take a break from writing 3. Talk to someone if needed 4. Return only when ready 5. Consider skipping if too difficult
Alternative Approaches
Instead of answering directly:
- Write about related positive memories
- Focus on lessons learned
- Share how you've grown
- Acknowledge without detail
- Ask a collaborator to write that part
