Using the Bookmark
Navigate entries, track writing stats, and manage images efficiently with Keepsake's bookmark panel
The bookmark panel adapts to your current view, showing chapter-level information when viewing a chapter and entry-specific details when in an entry.
Accessing the Bookmark
Click the ribbon icon next to the sidebar to open or close the bookmark panel. The panel slides out from the side, giving you quick access to navigation, statistics, and images.
Entries Tab
Navigate quickly between entries and start new ones:
View All Entries
See every entry in the current chapter at a glance
Quick Navigation
Click any entry to jump directly to it without scrolling
Start New Entry
Begin writing a new entry from the bookmark panel
Entry Preview
See entry titles and quickly identify what you've written
Stats Tab
Track your writing progress with detailed statistics that change based on your current view:
When viewing a chapter page, see:
- Chapter Goal and current progress
- Total Word Count across all entries
- Character Count for the chapter
- Paragraph Count combined
- Page Count estimate for printing
- Read Time for the entire chapter
- Image Count across all entries
- Queued Entries in this chapter
- Started Entries in this chapter
- Complete Entries in this chapter
Images Tab
Manage all photos in one convenient location:
View image gallery
From an Entry See all images added to this specific entry.
From a Chapter See all images across all entries in the chapter.
Edit images
Hover over any image and press Edit to open the Photo Editor for adjustments
Drag to reposition
Drag images directly from the Bookmark into your entry editor to place them exactly where you want
Download images
Right-click any image to download it to your computer
Bookmark Tips
The bookmark stays open as you work, making it easy to check stats or switch between entries without losing your place.
The Images tab is perfect for quickly rearranging photos in your entry without scrolling through the entire document.
Check the Stats tab regularly to see how close you are to completing your chapter goal.
In chapters with many entries, the Entries tab is faster than scrolling through the chapter page.
