Project settings
What's in a Keepsake project's settings: the name and details, finish date, welcome card, people, book, chapters and deleted items, and who can change each.
Updated
Each project has its own settings, in the Settings tab. Everyone in the project can open them, but most changes are for the owner and admins. Writers and viewers can see the details, and leave the project.
To open them, open the project and choose Settings. On a phone, it's the gear at the end of the tabs.

Each setting opens its own page. Make your change, then choose Save. Nothing changes until you do.
Change the project's name or description
Open General
In Settings, choose General.
Choose what to change
Under Project page, choose Project name, Description or Occasion.
Save it
Make your change, then choose Save.
The project name heads the project page and its card on your home page. It isn't the book's title, which is printed on the cover. To change that, see Edit your book's title, author and details. The description isn't printed either.
The welcome card
The welcome card greets everyone you invite. It's the first thing they see on the Overview, and opens into About this project.
In Settings, choose Welcome. Choose Customise the welcome card to write a note and sign it, or Customise the expanded popup to say what you're making and how people can help. To hide the card, turn Show the welcome card on the Overview off.
If the book is a surprise, turn on Keep it a surprise. Everyone who opens the project is reminded not to tell the person it's for.
Hand the project to someone else
The owner can make an admin or a writer the new owner. In General, under Ownership, choose Transfer ownership, pick the person in New owner, then confirm. You become an admin.
Leave or delete a project
- To leave a project you were invited to, go to General and choose Leave project…, then Leave project. You lose access until the owner invites you back. See Leave a project.
- To delete a project you own, go to General, choose Delete project…, type the project's name to confirm, then choose Delete project. Every chapter, story and photo is deleted for everyone, and it can't be undone. If someone else could keep the project going, transfer ownership instead.
The owner can't leave a project. Transfer it or delete it instead.
