Notifications and emails
See what's happening in your Keepsake projects on the Notifications page, and choose which emails you get from us. Some account emails can't be turned off.

Keepsake tells you what's happening in your projects on the Notifications page: new stories, comments, messages and people joining. Separately, you choose which news emails we send you in Settings > Emails. Emails about your account, such as sign-in links and receipts, always come.
The Notifications page
Choose Notifications in the sidebar, or in the menu on a phone. Your latest notifications also show on your home page: choose View all to see the rest.
You'll be told when, for example:
- someone starts, finishes or deletes a story, or adds or finishes a chapter
- someone comments on a story, messages the project chat, or replies to you
- someone mentions you, or names you as the storyteller of a story
- someone joins or leaves a project, or accepts your invitation
- your role in a project changes
- someone shares their plan with you
You aren't told about things you did yourself.
Read, filter and clear notifications
- To see only new ones, choose Unread. Choose All to see everything.
- To see one project, choose it from the project list next to Unread. It only shows when you're in more than one project.
- To mark everything as read, choose Mark all as read.
- For one notification, open its menu (or right-click it) and choose Mark as read, Mark as unread or Delete.
- To clear the list, choose More options, then Clear read or Clear all. Clear all can't be undone.
There are no settings to turn particular notifications on or off, and Keepsake doesn't send notifications to your phone's lock screen.
Choose which emails you get
Open Emails
Go to Settings and choose Emails.
Turn topics on or off
Under News from Keepsake, turn Newsletter, Product updates or Tips and reminders on or off. Each saves straight away.

Emails you can't turn off
We always send emails about your account, because you need them to sign in, join projects and keep track of payments:
- sign-in links and password resets
- invitations to projects and gift plans
- receipts and billing
- changes to your account
They go to the email you sign in with. To change it, see Change your email address.
