Understanding the Project Switcher

When you open the switcher, you'll see two sections:

My Projects

  • Projects you've created and own
  • Shows "Your Project" indicator
  • Green "SELECTED" badge on your current project
  • Full control over settings and collaborators

Shared with Me

  • Projects where you're a collaborator
  • Shows the owner's name (e.g., "Peter's Autobiography")
  • Displays your role (Admin, Editor, Viewer)
  • Limited by permissions set by the owner

What Changes When You Switch

Everything updates to be project-specific:

  • Dashboard statistics and progress bars
  • Chapter list and completion status
  • Queue and upcoming questions
  • Collaborator list and activity
  • Project settings and customisation

What stays the same:

  • Your account settings
  • Main navigation structure
  • Your user profile

Tips for Best Results

Name projects clearly

Use descriptive names so you can easily distinguish between them (Mum's Biography vs Dad's Stories)

Check both sections

When looking for a project, remember to check your created projects and ones shared with you

Each project is independent

Remember that projects have different stories, collaborators, and progress tracking

Troubleshooting

  • Check both My Projects and Shared with Me sections
  • Verify you're logged into the right account
  • Check you have the correct permissions
  • Check if the project was deleted
  • Make sure you're on the dashboard view
  • Look in the top right area
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Check you have more than one project
