Give Keepsake as a gift
Give someone Keepsake by sharing your Keepsake Pro plan with them, when you sign up or later, and set up their first book for them.

To give someone Keepsake, you share your Keepsake Pro plan with them. One plan covers you and one other person, so the gift costs nothing extra. They get their own account and can start their own books. You can set it up when you sign up, or later from your settings.
There isn't a separate gift to buy. The gift lasts while your plan is active. See Primary and shared plans.
Give it when you sign up
Choose who's telling the stories
When you sign up, under Who will be telling stories?, choose A loved one.
Add your details
Enter your own name and email.
Add their details
Under Who are you inviting?, enter Their first name, Their last name and Their email.
Choose when they get it
Choose whether we send their invite now or on a date, such as their birthday. Optional: add a note for the email.
Choose your plan
Choose Annual or Monthly. Both start with a free trial. See Plans and prices.
Check and pay
On Ready to start your trial?, check everything, then add your card on Stripe. You pay nothing today.
After you sign up, Keepsake shows when their invite goes out, then helps you set up their book.
Give it if you already have a plan
Go to Settings > Sharing and choose Share Keepsake Pro. The steps are in Share your plan with someone.
Set up their first book
You can start a book for them before they accept, so it's waiting when they arrive. When you start the book, you'll choose who looks after it once they accept:
- Transfer ownership: they become the owner, and you stay on as an admin.
- Give admin permissions: they join as an admin, and you stay the owner.
- Don't add them yet: you invite them whenever you like.
To change this before they accept, open the book's Settings tab and, under Ownership, choose the card that starts When and their name, such as When Margaret accepts your gift. See Start a project.
What they get
They get an email from Keepsake with your note and a button to accept. They accept with the email address you used. What they see next is in Accept a Keepsake gift, which you can send them.
If something's not right
- You want to change the date or message. Go to Settings > Sharing and choose Edit.
- You sent it to the wrong email. In Settings > Sharing, choose Cancel invitation…, then share it again with the right one.
- They haven't had the email. Check Settings > Sharing for how it's going, and resend it if you need to.
