Order more copies or a reprint

Order more copies of a book you've printed, get your own copy as a writer or viewer, or print a new version with the stories you've added since.

Updated

Every book you print is kept exactly as it was. You can order more copies of it later, even after the book has changed. To get your newest stories into a copy, you print a new version.

Order more copies

Copies come out exactly like the ones already printed, even if you've changed the book since.

1

Open the Orders tab

In the project, open the Orders tab.

2

Choose the printed book

If the project has more than one print, choose it under Your printed books.

3

Choose Order copies

Under Order another copy, choose Order copies. The order page opens.

4

Choose copies, address and delivery, then pay

Follow Order a printed book from step 2.

Owners and admins can also order copies of an older print. Its button says Order this edition. Writers and viewers can order copies of the latest print only.

Get your own copy

If you're a writer or viewer, you can order a copy for yourself once the owner has printed the book. Your order, address and receipt stay private to you.

1

Open the Orders tab

In the project, open the Orders tab.

2

Choose Order a copy

Under Get your own copy, choose Order a copy. The order page opens.

3

Choose copies, address and delivery, then pay

Follow Order a printed book from step 2.

Your order then shows in the Orders tab. If the tab says Your copy will land here, the book hasn't been printed yet.

Print a new version

If you've added or changed stories since you printed, the Orders tab says You've made changes since this print. To get the changes into a copy, build a new proof and order it, the same way as the first time. This needs an active plan on the project.

1

Open Print

In the Orders tab, choose Print the new version. Or, in the Book tab, choose Print.

2

Build a new proof

On Prepare, check what's changed under Changed since your last proof, then choose Reprint with changes.

3

Read and approve it

Read the new proof and choose Approve proof. See Prepare and proof your book.

4

Order it

Choose Continue to order, then follow Order a printed book.

The new print becomes a new edition. The Orders tab names them First edition, Second edition and so on, and marks the newest Latest. Your earlier print stays as it was, and you can still order copies of it.

If your book is full

If you'd rather keep the printed book as it is and carry on in a new one, start a new volume instead. See Volumes: more than one book from a project.
